  • Abet.org- Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.  Provides a list of accredited engineering college programs throughout the country.

  • Archives of Women in Science & Engineering

  • A Sightseer's Guide to Engineering- This site spotlights how engineers improve our lives via activities, projects, marvels and thrills throughout the country.

  • California Society of Professional Engineers- The homepage of the California Society of Professional Engineers (CSPE).  CSPE is a state society of the National Society of Professional Engineers and offers programs to promote and advance the profession of engineering.

  • California Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation- The California MATHCOUNTS sponsor

  • Discover Engineering- Informative new engineering web site designed for students in grades 6-9.  Answers many of the questions students have about a potential career in engineering.

  • Engineer Girl- Celebration of women in engineering

  • Engineering Education Service Center- The EESC provides consulting, publications, and workshops and presentations that promote engineering for K-16. Also has Engineering Camp information!

  • Engineering K-12 Resource Center- This site lets you explore the different engineering fields, learn how to get and pay for an engineering education, and have fun with interactive engineering games and resources.  Let it be your first step in your exciting journey to become an engineer!

  • Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) - Offers opportunities for high school students including: Tests of Engineering Aptitudes, Mathematics & Science (TEAMS), National Engineering Design Challenge and National Engineering Aptitude Search.

  • National Engineers Week- The official web site for National Engineer's Week, celebrated every year in February.  This site also has information about what engineers do and how to become an engineer.  It also includes a section that features activities and a wide variety of programs that appeal to students. 

  • National Society of Professional Engineers- Homepage for the National Society of Professional Engineers.  By clicking on the student section, students can learn about engineering and how to become a Professional Engineer (P.E.).  Also features links to other engineering-related sites.

  • Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)- SAME brings together professional engineers and those in engineering-related fields to improve and increase the engineering capabilities of the nation; and to exchange and advance the knowledge of engineering technologies, applications, and practices.

  • Society of Women Engineers (SWE)- Since its inception in 1950, the Society of Women Engineers has been the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women.  SWE implements hundreds of national and grassroots level programs each year to introduce young girls to the world of engineering and technology.

  • Understanding Electricity Tutorial, by Electronics Workbench This tutorial was designed by students for students to help them learn the fundamental of electricity using a series of of interactive activities and exercises.

Information on Specific Engineering Disciplines

Mathematics

  • Art of Problem Solving - Contains the largest online community of problem solving in the world.  The message board contains nearly 90,000 posts and has almost 4000 registered users.  The site also contains many resources, such as an online school, free classes, many articles and more. 

  • Biographies of Women Mathematicians- These pages are part of an on-going project by students in mathematics classes at Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Georgia, to illustrate the numerous achievements of women in the field of mathematics. There are biographical essays or comments on most of the women mathematicians and some photos.

  • Mathcamp - An intensive five-week-long summer program for mathematically talented 13- to 18-year-olds from around the world.

  • MathPath - Learning resource for parents, teachers, and middle school students. Includes explanations of important concepts and basic algorithms, book suggestions and information on the four-week Mathpath summer program for middle school students showing high promise in mathematics.

  • National MATHCOUNTS- Features quarterly newsletters on MATHCOUNTS participants and programs, the "Problem of the Week", and much more!

  • Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS) - Six-week summer program at Boston University designed to encourage ambitious high school students to explore the creative world of mathematics.

  • Ross Young Scholars Program - Eight-week summer program at Ohio State University where students ages 13-18 are immersed in a world of mathematical discovery.

Scholarships

  • FastWeb- Helping over 9 million students find scholarships, colleges and jobs!  This site provides a great resource for college grants, scholarships, and financial aid, including programs sponsored by the California Soci8ety of Professional Engineers Education Foundation.

Fun Stuff

  • Figure This! - Math Challenges for Families

  • Gnarly Gnews - Presents middle school math concepts and activities in a humorous, newspaper-style format.

  • Go Figure! Math Challenge- The Go Figure! Math Challenge provides a mathletic challenge for all who wish to stay in shape! Mental math shape, that is.

  • Learn About Bridge Building — For links to a number of educational resources to learn about bridge building.
